At Hilltop, our story has always been about celebration. Whether you are already planning your wedding with us or just beginning to explore the idea, we want to share something important with you—directly and with full transparency.
After many years in the golf and wedding industry, Hilltop’s owners, Brian and Marlis Hansen, have made the decision to retire at the end of the 2026 season. This property has been in their family for decades, and while stepping back is bittersweet, they are looking forward to slowing down and enjoying a well-earned retirement.
Hilltop has been a place of joy, connection, and incredible memories. Brian and Marlis are deeply grateful to have welcomed so many couples and guests over the years—and to have been part of so many unforgettable moments.
Now, the most important part: every 2025 and 2026 wedding is moving forward exactly as planned. Our entire team is 100% committed to delivering the same level of care, service, and excellence Hilltop is known for. We are here for you, and we are going to make these next two seasons truly exceptional.
As many of you know, we typically book weddings two years in advance. Big-picture decisions have to be made early. So while other businesses might handle transitions like this quietly behind the scenes, we know that not opening our 2027 calendar right away will raise questions.
For now, we will be holding off on booking any 2027 dates until there is a confirmed buyer in place—someone who is genuinely excited to carry on Hilltop’s wedding legacy with the same attention to detail and commitment to the guest experience.
If you are a current couple and have questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We’re always happy to connect. And if you're considering Hilltop for your future event, we hope this gives you a clear sense of where things stand and how thoughtfully we're approaching this transition.
We’re so proud of what Hilltop has become, and we look forward to making 2025 and 2026 two of our best seasons yet.
Warmly,
The Hilltop Team
